Picture Name : The Burden of Forgiving the Sacrifice
This image is dedicated to my uncle, who served as a gunner in WWII. He suffered in silence for many years, from a knee injury, while in battle, but never reported it. My uncle took the image of this WWII plane, while serving in the US Navy. I recreated this scene as a result of his photo. Also dedicated for my two grandfathers, both served in the military. One served as a sergeant in the US air force, the
other served in the US army. One step
grandfather was a p.o.w. who suffered
mental illness for many years from the result
of being tortured. Three cousins served as
well, one served as a surgical nurse Lt. during
the end of the Vietnam war, the other two
enlisted in the army and served overseas.
the other one, I believe served in the first
gulf war. Many layers used, three images
taken by me while visiting Boeing Museum of
Flight. Painter X, FX tools, blenders, airbrush.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
