    Love the classic Baroque portraiture style on this. You could imagine Van Dyck painting it if he hadn't been on the other side...

    A very nicely rendered painting. I really like the values on the clothing and the leather belt. I have one thing that bothers me: the button on the collar seems to blend into the staff, maybe give it a little green or something?

    Beautiful image. I agree the cloth rendering is excellent to the point of knowing how it feels. Great metal effect on the helmet. All the details are amazing. Fantastic.

    I like the way the cloth folds have been handled, and the weathered metal of the helmet is also nicely done.
