A speed-paint too, but for me going back and changing the subjects of image entirely. The name of the piece came about by accident, as I unintentionally struck the keys thinking I was performing an action, only to find I had renamed a layer!

    That's a great ref Willie, didn't remember the Scorpion King from Mummy 2 when I painted this, but now that you mention it, it does kind of look like that ( but without the pincers )...

    Great work. I love the variations of blue and violet. Nice composition and perspective adds to the scale of the monster. Love the concept. reminds me of the "The Mummy 2" when Brendan Frasier battles the Scorpion King.

    I can never settle satisfactorily on the colour schemes and end up playing with them too long ( or end up creating multiple versions of the coloured images ), still, I settled on this one and it seems to work as well as I wanted.

    Nice action stance for both characters, Russell. You also did well with the misty blue fog effect and again your use of colour adds to the drama. Well done again.
