Christmas Presents

Postby DerekBurns on Tue Dec 20, 2011 12:15 am

With only 6 more sleeps until Christmas, I hope everyone is becoming suitably excited. Let's hope it's an arty Christmas. I'm hoping to get some new pencils, maybe paints, and the odd art book, which Santa didn't bring me last year.

I've asked Santa for two sets of inks - Winsor and Newton drawing inks which have gorgeous jewel-like shades of vermilion, indigo and emerald green, and their calligraphy set too (it has gold in it!) plus a new dip pen or three. And some Blackwing pencils. And Bristol board. And a sable filbert.

If Santa would bring me a HUGE thing, (I'm dreaming), I'd like an extra studio, so I could work on digital and "traditional" art in separate rooms. :) Slightly more realistically...a top-o-the-line chair. Actually realism...a few nice watercolor brushes. Some nice sable rounds. :)

I'd like time and greater business sense.

Time so I can do more of the things I want to focus on and greater business sense to allow me to create the time without losing moolah.

Well, I received no art supplies, :( but I did get Chanel, so I smell good. :D Funny thing about working from home...no one around to appreciate it on the odd day you decide to make yourself fabulous. ;)

Commiserations CupOSwank, however, you are not alone in the lack of art supplies. I got nothing in the way of art from Santa. My daughter got quite a few pencils, crayons, drawing pads and the like, so I think I'll be stealing...borrowing hers. I also smell positively enchanting. Fingers crossed for next year.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
