Decode Lab – Friday Late at the V&A
You may have seen in recent issues of Digital Artist (or around the interwebs) that London’s Victoria and Albert Museum is running a big exhibition on digital art, called Decode. All sorts of work is covered, from vectored and digitally painted imagery to installations and animation.
As part of the V&A’s regular Friday Late openings it’s running Decode Lab tonight, featuring the unveiling of a new installation by the museum’s new Digital Artist in Residence, Christian Kerrigan. Christian will be available to discuss digital art with visitors this evening as part of his residency, and there’s also a fantastic program of other special events such as Digital Pioneers, a lecture on some of the first computer animations, the opportunity to play with Jen Hui Liao’s Self Portrait Machine, the incredibly sparkly Gold installation and much more. Best of all, entry to the V&A is free! If you’re in the area why not pop along – I might even see you there!
