This story from BusinessWeek tickled me. If you’ve ever stood in the queue to see Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece the Mona Lisa in Paris’ Louvre gallery you’ll know what a long and agonising process it is (Just thinking about it has had Team DA wincing at each other with the memory!) So imagine if there was a queue that outdid it. Turns out that there has been – the queues of customers purchasing an iPad from the Apple Store in the shopping centre beneath the Louvre massively outnumbered the people who had gone to see what is often regarded as one of the greatest artworks ever produced.
